STUDIO 2B

In this studio the focus of the studio will be around one of the most enduring issues of architectural discourse;  that of form and its relationship to function. The studio also takes a look at the most fundamental facets of architectural design: organization, building form, materiality and site. Taking lessons from these lessens we were tasked with creating a new cultural center in Downtown Los Angeles.

While studying the Villa VPRO I was able to draw from the concepts of having much as open space as possible to sllow natural light into the building. Another concept that I was draw from Villa VPRO was to have the entire building serve as a part of its circulation.
